Oxford Santa Run

A big thank you and a Yo Ho Ho to Ellie Thompson, Jane Fallaize, Jenny Grieve, Carol McKay and Julian Green who took part in the Oxford Santa on the Run event today. They raised £215 for Helen and Douglas House Hospice in Thomas' memory.

 

Ladies Night For Thomas Laurie - Formby

A HUGE thank you to our amazing friend,Jenny Foster for organising the Robbie Williams tribute night which took place in Formby on Saturday 18th October. The event raised £2,052 in Thomas' memory and will be shared between Amy and Friends and Helen & Douglas House. Thank you to all those who attended and/or helped in making it a fantastic evening

Running For Thomas Laurie - Great South Run

Well done, Steve Brooks, who completed his 3rd major running event in October in an amazing 1 hour 23 mins. A big thanks to Steve, who since June has achieved his £500 target for Helen and Douglas Hospice. I hope he doesn't mind me saying but Steve, who only started running last September, is an inspiration to all when it comes to showing what you can achieve when you put your mind to it. Just over a year later, he is running 1 hour 44 minute half marathons. We wish you luck for your future running challenges and raising funds for another family friend and their little boy. Steve, will be running next year's Oxford Half Marathon for Helen House and hopes to join Ewan on his John O'Groats to Land's End run.

Bingo For Thomas Laurie

A big thank you to Deena Tugwell who organised a bingo evening at Fritwell Village Hall last Wednesday evening. It was a fantastic night, which raised over £400 to be split between our 3 amazing charities. Thank you to everybody that attended or donated prizes to make it such a special night.

Walking for Thomas Laurie

Our former parish priest, Father Paul Martin, walked 114km of the Camino pilgrimage in Northern Spain from 11th to 18th September in memory of Thomas for Helen & Douglas House Hospice. He raised the amazing total of £2,000.

Triathlon for Thomas Laurie

Well done Karina Bell for finishing under 15 minutes quicker than your target time at the Blenheim Palace Triathlon. Also for raising an amazing £360 for Helen and Douglas House. Thank you, Karina x

Cycling For Thomas Laurie

A big thank you to Tim Bucke who raised an amazing £770 for Helen and Douglas House. Tim took part in the London 100 cycle ride raising the money in memory of Thomas.

Canoeing For Thomas Laurie

 Well done to Ellie and the other 8 Elephant Club siblings who finished their 50km sponsored canoe

challenge in Pangbourne.What an achievement!  We are so proud. Thank you to all who have sponsored them as they surpassed their £2,500 target, raising £4,600.

Elite Dance and Theatre Ltd

Dancing for Thomas Laurie - A huge thank you to Elite Dance and Theatre Ltd, Bicester. They organised a raffle, at their amazing showcase held at the New Theatre in Oxford, with the proceeds going to ROSY in Thomas' memory. Thank you, Hayley Baker, who contacted us this morning with the news that £450 has been raised. 

Roller Blading For Thomas Laurie


Code Red Roller Derby took part in a skating a marathon at Goodwood race circuit. This was in memory of Thomas

Bicester Athletics Club donatation to Rosy in Memory of Thomas.

Bicester Athletics Club celebrated the 60th anniversary of Roger Bannister breaking the 4 minute mile by inviting athletes and families to run a mile after training. Each runner contributed £1 with the final amount £231 being donated to ROSY in Thomas' name. Thank you Bicester Athletics Club especially Emma and Richard Gould for your continued support.

 

Helen and Douglas House Rainbow Run

Total raised for Team Thomas is now over £3,750. Thank you so, so much. If you have any remaining sponsorship money to send to HH, the cut off date is 4th August. Please remember to say you were part of Team Thomas!

Many people have already said they would like to take part again next year. It would be fantastic; maybe we could get 150+ members.
